Overview
Cave photoshoots are currently offered in North Florida. Whether you are a brand-new cavern diver or seasoned professional I can capture your dive.

When booking a shoot we'll decide a location, date, and start time. There will be a short lecture and lesson on what to expect during the shoot and we'll plan the dive thoroughly before entering the water.
Shoots can be just you or with a team. I can easily coordinate a shoot to coincide with a graduation from a class to create a lasting memory.

I personally have full cave - DPV - stage - CCR - and hypoxic trimix ratings, our shoot locations can be arranged to be nearly any location, duration, or depth. Please note that any photoshoot at depths greater than 130ft will cost an extra $75 due to cost of helium.
Pricing
Single diver photoshoot - $300
2 diver photoshoot - $450
2 or more diver photoshoot email with details for quote

Shoot price includes either 1 long (2+ hours) or 2 short dives within the same cave/cavern system. With either option we will shoot at 2 different locations within the cave/cavern. I guarantee 1 high resolution image from each location but try to give you more.

Special packages can be arranged if you would like to bundle your photoshoot with high quality prints.

*Price does not include diver entry fees, gas fills, or gear rentals. Gear rentals can be pre-arranged if needed.

Classes
Overview
Blue Descent Photography offers all level classes to individuals or small groups (2-3 people). I do not offer cookie cutter style classes where everyone gets the same thing. Instead I chat with each person and develop a course tailored specifically for them. Depending on your current skill/experience level, goals, equipment, and available time I'll suggest a single or multi day course.

You can take classes at a snorkeling, open water, cavern, or cave level. I even offer classes for those wanting to stay on dry land. Full and a la carte rental packages are available. Blue Descent can help you choose and purchase your own camera system or you can bring one you already have to class.

Whether you have a go-pro or want to learn full DSLR with housing and strobes we can create a class plan just for you. There are no set time lines and you can take a multi-day course consecutively or spread it out according to your schedule.

Price
Classes are $300 per day if taught at a local (currently western PA or North FL) location. Depending on class length/logistics formal certification through PADI or SDI is available. Custom price packages can be offered if you wish to bundle class, rental, and/or physical prints of your final images.
Special notes about classes
Prices do not include location entry fees, air fills, or rental equipment (camera or scuba)

Tropical destinations for an immersive class can be arranged. There are semi-local options such as Jupiter, Clearwater, or further destinations such as the keys or Caribbean.

Diver must be certified and active at the level at which they wish to learn UW photography. We can offer dive certifications as well but they must be separate from the photography course.

Good buoyancy control is critical for underwater photography. While I am willing to work with divers on control Blue Descent holds the right to cancel, reschedule, or restructure a class if a divers buoyancy poses a risk to the environment, themselves, or animals. Buoyancy clinics can be taught and arranged during or prior to our class!
